Chuggie Pig

Isopods have more than 250 common names. This is more than any other creature. Isn't that fascinating?

I grew up knowing them as Chuggie Pigs but perhaps you know them as Slaters, Woodlice, Carpenters or Rolly-Polys. One exhibition visitor called them Land Prawns! "Chuggie Pig" features 40 of the 250 regional names, all hand written onto the hand carved white marble jesmonite surface.

It measures 20 x 20 x 10cms and weighs 1kg. SOLD
